What to expect at your first massage
A short guide for anyone who has never booked one and is quietly unsure.
It starts with a few questions — what aches, what you do all day, anything to avoid. This is not small talk; it shapes the whole session, so it is worth being honest about that shoulder you have been ignoring.
You undress to your comfort and lie under a sheet; a therapist only ever uncovers the area being worked, one part at a time. If pressure is too much or too little, say so — it helps us and it is the whole point of being there.
Afterwards, take it slow. A glass of water and a few minutes to gather yourself, and you are done. Most people book the next one before they have left the room.
